The bungee cords used and manufactured by Vertige Aventures have been tested for 500 jumps by APAVE, an independent national laboratory. Vertige Aventures is the only French and European company to have carried out these tests and thus can guarantee you the highest level of safety.
Since 1992, Vertige Aventures has had a bungee cord manufacturing unit in Grenoble.

In 1995, Vertige Aventures had all types of its bungee cords tested and validated for 500 jumps. These tests were carried out and validated by the independent control laboratories of LEM de l’APAVE LYONNAISE, under the reference: 95.6.0075.1-2-3.
The test conditions during the 500-drop tests were much more demanding than the normal use conditions. For these tests, the frequency of drops was 1 minute and 30 seconds, the fall factor was equal to 2, and the test mass was 25% higher than the maximum normal use mass.
After 500 jumps, the bungee cords show no degradation of their main structure and offer the same safety guarantees as a new cord.
Vertige Aventures is the only French and European company to have tested and controlled its bungee cords and to guarantee this level of quality and safety.
